‘While Johnson was taken quickly to the locker room for treatment and was not made available to the media, it appears his latest injury wasn’t as serious as it looked and he will play in Saturday’s preseason game against Philadelphia at Ralph Wilson Stadium.’

‘The Bills returned to practice Tuesday afternoon following Sunday’s game with the Rams, and they got a little bit of a scare when quarterback Rob Johnson left practice early after suffering an injury in drills. However, coach Gregg Williams said his injury wasn’t serious and wouldn’t keep Johnson out for a significant length of time.’

‘"It looks like Rob banged that jammed (index) finger again," Williams said. "We’ll go ahead and treat it and ice it. After a good practice today, we were going to hold him out tomorrow anyway."’

‘"It shows that he has some confidence in me," Price said. "Coach Williams and I have a great relationship. He’s on me a lot. He wants me to perform well. He thinks that I can perform at a high level, and that’s basically what he was throwing out there. It’s time for me to step up and have a big year."’

‘"Overall, we have a lot to work on and point to next week," Williams said as Buffalo resumes practicing at St. John Fisher College outside of Rochester, N.Y., on Tuesday. "We have to go back to training camp and concentrate on correcting the little things."’

‘With a new West Coast Offensive scheme under head Coach Gregg Williams and a new starting quarterback , Rob Johnson, it seems things are about to change for the Buffalo Bills. The players that will stand out and make the Bills final roster are the ones who step up here in the preseason.’

"For sure you can see that there were too many negative plays here to start the ballgame out and throughout the ballgame. That’s not the way we like to play. I thought that I saw some good positive things to build on. I thought I saw Travis Henry run the ball pretty effectively."

‘I feel naturally I play aggressive, a lot of people say I play too aggressive. Naturally playing aggressive will help me to fit in to a solid defense.’
