Two Bills Drive

‘Dolphins quarterback Jay Fiedler insists what their offense does Sunday against Buffalo at Pro Player Stadium will be dictated by how the Bills’ defense plays and where the best matchups can be found. But he acknowledges that the team no longer adheres to Wannstedt’s philosophy of living by the run.’

‘While the Jets actually outgained Buffalo, 375 yards to 368, the Bills weren’t burned by big plays like they were in Atlanta.’

‘Coach Gregg Williams said he hopes to get defensive tackle Pat Williams back on the practice field Wednesday.’

‘It’s enough to convince a fellow that the Bills are on their way to respectability with a young team that is bound to get better. One thing that could ruin it is the return of quarterback Rob Johnson. Maybe they’ll get lucky and he’ll be lost in a snowbank.’

With his second solid performance in place of the injured Travis Henry, Bryson becomes the first Bills back since Thurman Thomas in 1995 to rush for back-to-back 100-yard games.’
