The team warned that telephone users "may experience delays and busy signals" because of a high volume of calls.’

‘Local publisher David Jones (of Shout! Newspaper) is tired of dealing with customer complaints about mail delivery, especially during the peak football season when he tries to get his football newspapers in fans’ hands before Sunday games. Now he wants to do something about it.’

‘6–Buffalo. Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie. Of the teams with excellent 1-2 QB punches, only the Bills have any controversy regarding which one should start. That could be a season-long problem.’

‘"My first years here, my high school locker room was better than what we had in Fredonia," 10-year strong safety Henry Jones said. "Training camp is for concentration. You don’t want distractions. And at the same time, the NFL is supposed to be a first-class operation all the way. That’s what we’re really moving toward right now. "We had decent facilities (in Orchard Park), but to upgrade them to this, then from Fredonia to what we’ll have in Rochester, that’s just going to make it a lot nicer to get up and go to work in the morning."’

The Buffalo Destroyers play the Florida Bobcats on live national TV tonight: TNN at 8:00 p.m. EST. The Destroyers have won three in a row and have a shot at the play-offs.

‘The 2000 Bills are facing a leadership turnover much as the 1990 Bills did. In 1989, our most vocal team leaders were offensive tackle Joe Devlin and nose tackle Fred Smerlas — very well respected veterans, but not the team’s best players at that point in their careers.’
