Two Bills Drive

‘Eric Moulds got most of the attention in terms of coverage schemes played by the Texans, who tried to double Moulds as much as possible. For the most part, the strategy worked; Moulds didn’t catch a pass in the first half and only caught four in the game, although one went for a touchdown. The Texans took more chances with Peerless Price, and he made them pay, catching eight passes for 121 yards and the game-winning touchdown against safety Matt Stevens.’

Gregg Williams on the Bills’ defense: "We really came out and played suffocating for most of the second half. There were only 34, 35 yards gained in the second half until their last drive. And then we had chances and they made some very good plays."

In reality, the victory was only satisfying because it enabled Buffalo (3-3) to move into a second-place tie with the Patriots, who dropped their third in a row. And it was satisfying because, let’s face it, wins have not come all that often during Gregg Williams’ tenure, so any time the Bills can win, that’s satisfying.
