‘The defense was sloppy in a lot of different areas, but probably nothing was as frustrating as watching the Dolphins drop interception after interception. ‘The Bills game against the Miami Dolphins at Ralph Wilson Stadium Dec. 1 posted a rating of 44.8 and a share of 68 in the Buffalo market. ‘Bledsoe and company grabbed control of the game, after three Sundays worth of taking what opposing defenses were willing to give them, seizing what they wanted. Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Fiedler will start next Monday night against the Chicago Bears after sitting out six weeks with a broken right thumb.

Ray Lucas, who started at quarterback Sunday, was undergoing an MRI on Monday and his status was uncertain for next week, coach Dave Wannstedt said.

Against the Dolphins, Travis Henry went over 1,000 rushing yards for the season while Peerless Price and Eric Moulds each topped the 1,000 receiving yard plateau. It marked the second time in team history that the Bills have had a 1,000-yard rusher and pair of 1,000-yard receivers in the same season (1991 – Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, and James Lofton)…Sunday marked the first time in NFL history that a back and two receivers topped the 1,000-yard mark on the same day. Overall, this marks the 33rd time in NFL history a team has had a pair of 1,000-yard receivers and a 1,000-yard rusher.

‘As Bledsoe noted, “I’ve played in cold weather for a long time now – from high school on – and it’s never been a big factor as far as me throwing the ball. “The only effect is if it’s real windy. But a little snow … I’ve got big hands and I can throw the ball.”‘

‘”We gave up way too many plays,” Wannstedt said. “It’s a shame. When you come up here and you know it’s going to be windy and cold and snow, and you think, if we can run the ball, you’d like to think we had a chance. We ran the ball. Unfortunately, because of the big plays and the turnovers, it wasn’t good enough to win."’

‘In short, if it wasn’t for Bledsoe’s glittering season, Henry, Moulds and Price wouldn’t have 1,000 yards in their specialties and Bills’ fans wouldn’t be talking playoffs in Game 13.’

‘The Bills ended a streak of 37 consecutive drives started in their own territory when they began a possession at Miami’s 48-yard line after a Dolphins’ punt into the wind.’
