Two Bills Drive

On Saturday, March 29th the Buffalo Bills Alumni hosted their First Annual Alumni Bowling Tournament. Well over $10,000 was raised and will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo. Celebrity bowlers such as Jim Kelly, Steve Tasker and Pat Williams were among the participants. Photo Gallery

The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 26 & 27th. That doesn't mean it's too early to take a look at some projections for the Bills. Buffalobills.com has searched the internet and flipped through numerous draft publications to compile a list of mock draft picks for the Buffalo Bills.

“It was back and forth,” Buffalo Bills general manager Tom Donahoe said. “Early, you thought it was going to go. Then you didn’t. And then you did.”

In the end, Donahoe, who was in favor of changing overtime, wound up disappointed because the proposed adjustment received 17 votes, seven shy of the 24 needed for it to pass.

Buffalo Bills: They have come out of free agency with perhaps the best player on the open market in LB Takeo Spikes, another starting LB in Jeff Posey and one of the NFL’s best run-stuffers in Sam Adams. They dramatically upgraded the 29th-ranked defense in the NFL. They traded Peerless Price, which will certainly hurt. But they cannot pay two receivers Eric Moulds-type money and avoided a nasty situation, yet they picked up a No. 1 in the process

Well, here we are in the middle of the off-season, and already it rivals the excitement of last off-season, when Drew Bledsoe came aboard. Maybe the Takeo Spikes and Sam Adams acquisitions exceed the Bledsoe acquisition because they mean Buffalo is closer to repairing the defense and going deep into the playoffs.

”’I believe Eric is the No. 1 guy, period. Outside of that, I guess everything would be open to fair game,” Ismail said. ”It’s a good fit for myself and for the Bills. But this is just a visit. Hopefully, we’ll progress.”’

The Bills today announced that the team has officially signed DT Sam Adams.

NFL talent evaluators long have felt Johnson has the tools to be a top passer. A 1995 fourth-round pick by Jacksonville, Johnson consistently has impressed with his arm strength and athleticism, plus his prototypical height (6-foot-4, 212 pounds). But he has struggled to find a comfortable situation, whether with Jacksonville, Buffalo or Tampa Bay.
