Receiving accolades
‘”I probably could’ve gone someplace else and gotten more money, but it’s not all about that, it’s about finishing what you started. My mom always told me that if you try out for something and quit, then you’re not giving yourself and your teammates a chance. I’ve lived by that my whole life. Go out, play hard, earn your teammates’ respect.”‘

Williams winging it with hungry Raiders
‘”I’m going to order a bunch of chicken wings from the Anchor Bar in Buffalo and have them delivered to Ralph Wilson Stadium,” the former East High and Syracuse University star was saying during a break from preparations for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. “The way some of these cats can eat, especially on the O-line, I may need to order a moving van filled with wings to satisfy them. We got some guys here who have pretty amazing appetites. They might eat ’em bones and all.”‘

Hull to join Bills' Wall of Fame Sunday
”’Kent was unique,” said Levy. ”First of all, he was maybe the single person involved in the success of our team who has been least recognized for what he contributed. Now, being put up on the Wall of Fame is tremendously gratifying because it is recognition.”’

No-huddle no shock to Bills or Raiders
‘The play-clock operator at Ralph Wilson Stadium outside Buffalo may get his first day off during a home game Sunday. Because the Raiders-Bills game could be more than the expected shootout.’
Ranking the NFL's starting quarterbacks
8. Drew Bledsoe / Bills – The Patriots were begging teams outside their division to trade for him. They told people they believed Bledsoe still could be an exceptional quarterback if he went to a new, positive situation, but he would never regain the passion and effectiveness he showed under Bill Parcells if he stayed in New England. Unfortunately for them and the other teams in the AFC East, the only team that believed them was the Bills, and now the Pats have another tough team to face. Just think of how the Skins would be with Bledsoe in Steve Spurrier’s offense.
