‘“I got so much confidence,” Allen said. “I think there’s so many different things that we can continue to evolve in our offense. ‘For a team that is 6-2, there aren’t too many roster holes that general manager Brandon Beane can plug, and he wasn’t going to make a trade for the sake of making one. Still, some fans might have wanted a fresh face for the second half of the season.’

‘Internet sleuths tried to figure out what happened, and it’s unclear, but this is what Cook’s last run looked like in the Chiefs game:’

‘While this obviously isn’t great news, it’s not entirely unexpected considering Cook clearly didn’t leave last week’s game 100%. It’s possible he could practice and the Bills are just being cautious early in the week.’

‘Obviously, neither ended up in a Bills uniform. Meyers was dealt to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Olave stayed put in New Orleans while his teammate, Rashid Shaheed, was dealt to the Seattle Seahawks.’

‘Compare this to what the Colts did, sending two first-round picks to get All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner. Is it a risk to move two first-round picks? Of course. But the Colts see where they are atop the AFC and pushed their chips to the middle of the table to try and make a run. That’s the mindset good teams should have – aggressive and guns blazing.’
