‘It was a struggle all afternoon for the Bills to really do anything on offense. The top rushing team in the NFL ran for just 87 yards. The passing game had no answers and the bills kept giving the ball away.’

Opinion: Simon: Bills get Squished By The Fish
‘It is a familiar theme, with an inability of wide receivers to get open. Allen is either making throws that are contested or is scrambling around, buying time while hoping he sees daylight between a target and the defender. Too many throws are behind the line of scrimmage or within two to three yards. Yards after catch are hard to come by because of the separation issue. Khalil Shakir is the Bills best wide receiver but passes to him are not going downfield. Shakir had just 58 yards on seven receptions.’
Passing game remains a debacle for Buffalo Bills but Josh Allen shoulders the blame
‘”I got to be better, I got to be better in the pass game, in the protection game, in the run game, all of it,” Bills quarterback Josh Allen said after the 30-13 loss to the Dolphins. “Anytime you turn it over three times, two in the redzone, that’s a recipe for disaster.”‘
John Murphy: Bills don’t look championship-level after loss to Miami
‘Through nine games this season, the Bills opponents average 148 yards rushing per game. Only the Bengals and Giants give up more on the ground.’
Today in Bills stadium history: Nov. 10
‘1985 — Bills 20, Oilers 0 — With a scant crowd of 21,881 weathering the cold November rain at Rich Stadium, the Bills claimed their second and final victory of a dismal 2-14 season. “Houston came in here and was used to that sun and warm weather in Texas,” Bills QB Bruce Mathison said. “We’ve been practicing in it all week.” Mathison mustered just enough to win his first NFL start, completing 11 of 22 passes for 69 net yards with seven sacks taken, along with 57 yards rushing and a late scoring run. That was much better than Houston counterpart Warren Moon, who was 3 of 14 passing for 22 yards with three interceptions before getting benched for Oliver Luck. Greg Bell ran for 43 yards and a touchdown, and Joe Cribbs had 41 yards rushing. The Bills defense allowed 142 yards and seven first downs while taking the ball away six times. Mathison, a third-year pro signed off the street earlier in the season, didn’t sustain this momentum, completing fewer than 50% of his passes with 14 interceptions and four touchdowns in losing the final six games of the ’85 season. He was a scab starter for a couple games in Seattle two years later on his way out of the league.’
Bills offense stalls in Miami as Dolphins roll to win
‘Miami took an early lead when Malik Washington caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa, who later connected with Jaylen Waddle on a 38-yard scoring pass. The Dolphins led 13-0 just eight seconds into the second quarter.’
Bills’ offense sputters in 30-13 loss to Dolphins
‘The Buffalo defense continued to struggle stopping the run game. Dolphins running back Devon Achane finished with 174 rushing yards on 22 carries, adding 51 receiving yards as well. Receiver Jaylen Waddle was the star of the passing game. He finished with 84 yards on five receptions, brining in a touchdown as well. Although quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ended with two interceptions, he also had two touchdowns with 173 passing yards.’
Thad Brown: Trade deadline disappointment proves prophetic
‘Everything went wrong for the Bills in Miami. There is no part of this team above the blame. Beane. Sean McDermott. Josh Allen. The offense. The defense. Maybe not the special teams because punter Mitch Wishnowsky had himself a day, but they didn’t help much otherwise.’
Carucci Take 2: No excuses for Bills’ no-show vs. lowly Dolphins
‘The Bills, who had not lost a divisional game by more than seven points in a record 40 consecutive games, had their collective behinds kicked by one of the sorriest teams in not only the AFC East but the NFL. It was as poor an effort as any they’ve given in many years. Finding the last time the Bills looked this unprepared and uninspired would require digging through the trash of the 17-year playoff drought.’
Bills Mafia gathers at Fairport Village Inn for gameday food drive
‘“This community comes together for everything. It doesn’t matter what it is or who it’s for, somebody puts the word out there they need help, this village, and it does take a village, all pulls together,” watch party attendee Mary told News 8.’
Buffalo Bills fall to Miami Dolphins in week 10 divisional game
‘The Bills turned the ball over three times – a Josh Allen interception and fumble and a James Cook fumble.’
A look at the Bills’ playoff picture after a 30-13 loss against the Dolphins
‘With the loss, the Bills fall to 6-3 on the season and remain second place in their division, behind the 8-2 New England Patriots. So what does the playoff picture look like right now? Despite the loss, the Bills are in sixth place in the AFC conference. Meanwhile, the Patriots would take the division title and secure the third seed if the season ended today. In total, seven teams from each conference make the playoffs, the division winners and three wild card teams.’
