bills44 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 They just showed that 2d FG attempt by Carolina before the commercial. It looked a lot like someone on the Bills got a hand on that kick and deflected it. Did anyone on CBS mention it? It was the spirit of Trent Edwards, attempting to will this team to victory.
DC Tom Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 byrd has more picks in a hand full of games than donte does in his entire career. stay on the bench! More to playing safety than picks. Notice how soft the middle of the defense has been against the run? Maybe that has something to do with Whitner being out. (I'm not saying it definitely does. I'm just saying it's possible...we don't really know.)
Big Turk Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Jairus Byrd=rookie version of Ed Reed...holy crap we got a player back there...are you freaking kidding me? That dude is a player!!! Sabres got a future stud(present stud??) in Myers and Bills got one in Byrd...
vincec Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 With any help up front it could be a very good tandem. I still like Scott at SS over Donte. BTW, we may score here.
/dev/null Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 That was a bogus roughing the passer. But I'll take the 1st down and yardage
ColdBlueNorth Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I thought that they were rushing Bryd into the lineup too early, but I can see why he caught their eye. Now if we could just get some push and run-stopping from our D-line this would not be a half bad defense.
bills44 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I was one of them....thought Byrd would've been there later in the draft....but hey sometimes things turn out this way. i'm happy that he's working out tho. At least you're man enough to admit it. Hat's off to ya!
Tcali Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 That was a bogus roughing the passer. But I'll take the 1st down and yardage helmet to helmet...beg to differ on that
Mr. WEO Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 helmet to helmet...beg to differ on that wrong
jester43 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Jairus Byrd=rookie version of Ed Reed...holy crap we got a player back there...are you freaking kidding me? That dude is a player!!! Sabres got a future stud(present stud??) in Myers and Bills got one in Byrd... it's almost enough to make you enjoy sports again!
colin Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 helmet to helmet...beg to differ on that ya, not saying i like the rule but it seemed consistent with the rest of the calls in the nfl. of course tasker and the blind man had no idea
vincec Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 That was a bogus roughing the passer. But I'll take the 1st down and yardage Carolina deserved a penalty just for the beating they've been giving him.
