Albany,n.y. Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 The Felser article on the front page where he writes that Jauron has stated Edwards doesn't answer or return his calls, if it is true, shows how ridiculous this team has become under Jauron. How can a player with Edwards' record act like a primadonna? Would a competent coach put up with such nonsense? It looks like we need a new QB & a new coach before we're ever going to be a winner. If it's true, both those guys are losers.

drinkTHEkoolaid Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 i thought i heard earlier this week that the bills didnt even want edwards using the phone?
H2o Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Well, honestly, I wouldn't want to talk to Dick either.
silvermike Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 It's one of those opinionated Sundays as the World Series is about to begin, which also means that baseball will soon vacate the sporting stage and leave it to football and hockey ... There have been some odd happenings during the course of the Dick Jauron era in Bills' lore but none has been more odd than the skipper's response to questions about whether he had spoken to Trent Edwards in the wake of the quarterback's concussion in last Sunday's Jets game. Jauron said that Edwards doesn't take calls nor return them and that is part of his protocol. Yeah, that should raise some pretty serious questions about who the hell is in charge on this ship. We need a QB with better social skills than Tracy Jordan (DO NOT LOOK AT MR. EDWARDS! DO NOT LOOK AT HIM IN THE FACE!)

If it's true, both those guys are losers. A prior article by Felser emphasized that sacking Dick Jauron is not a solution to what ails this dysfunctional organization. He pointed out that the front office, scouting department and coaching staff are inept. The gist of his article is that the organization is in shambles and that it is going to take a major overhaul, top to bottom, to start the long term process of rebuilding. When you have a complex organization competing in a highly compettitive environement run by a 91 yr old clueless owner there should be no surprise that the franchise has been stuck in the mud for a decade and has become one of the most irrelevant franchises in the league.
PearlHowardman Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Jeezus H. Krist - why is it you people don't get it? The Buffalo Bills don't need a new starting QB. The Buffalo Bills don't need a new head coach. The Buffalo Bills need a new OWNER!!!!!! Get it now???

Funny, Felser has been irrelevant for a lot longer that that. I actually forgot he was still around.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I think Felser is the one suffering from the concussion. What Jauron said was he wasn't speaking to Edwards while he was recovering from his latest concussion. "That is the protocol...no calls, no messages, no texts." Meaning they don't want Edwards taxing his head while he's trying to get over the effects of having his bell rung. I can't believe a) felser would write something that wrong, and b) that no editor at the Buffalo News would have caught it. PTR (I AM PTR!)
JohnC Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Funny, Felser has been irrelevant for a lot longer that that. I actually forgot he was still around. Felser is retired Buffalo News columnist who periodically gives his opinions. He has followed the Bills for almost a half century. Because of his familiarity with the franchise he does have some insights into how screwed up this franchise is.
Guest three3 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 but if he texts russ brandon to sign a player, it gets done, even if that player is a horrible acquisition (turdell owens). but hey, that's how championships are won. from the top on down, folks

How has Ralph been 91 for a decade?!?!?! But yes you are correct - the entire org. blows. The coaches, the scouts, the film guys, all of them. Modrak and Guy? Really? Do these guys ever evauluate their performance?
Stussy109 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I think it refers to the NFL's protocol with head injuries. Coaches are not aloud to communicate with players to avoid the situation of having pressure to rush your recovery and come back.

PTR's right---lazy editing. . No wonder newspapers are an inch from irrelevancy.
