As we go into week 6 of this NFL 2009 season, does anyone really know who these 2009 Buffalo Bills are and what they are capable of? Going in to last week’s game against the Jets and starting three OL rookies, the Bills were understandably big underdogs. Yet, whether by chance or a fine defensive effort coupled with a stabile presence at QB, the Bills came up with a win. Going into this week, playing at Carolina, the Bills are underdogs again. The Panthers are fresh off a two game win streak after starting the season 0-3 and have a powerful run game (8th in NFL). The Bills are currently last in run defense in the league (Carolina is close behind at 29th). Since both teams have stout pass defenses, this game looks like it might be a run fest. The big question for the Bills is: will their passing game be any better with a change in QB? And going into the rest of the 2009 schedule, will the youngest starting OL gain the experience and confidence to emerge as a force against the remaining opponents?

They play hard but are overmatched from a talent perspective by half the league (at least). O Line is in rebuilding mode.

Undersized/Injury prone. Not a .500 team. Will surprise a few people, because they play hard and have some skill players. Probably go 3-5 before the break and 3-5 after the break for 6-10. Jauron fired. And we start all over again. The Bills.

So 8 & 8, when are the Bills ever going to reach 8-8? With improved OL play and a change in QB, what are the odds of reaching .500 this year?
