truth on hold Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 i know he hasn't lived up to expectations since coming over from Ravens (neither has Scott for the Jets ), by why flat out deactivate him when they're so thin at LB they have to sign a relic like Seau? is Bellicheck sending a message to unmotivated or under-achieving players?

Thomas played well in 2007 and Bart Scott has been pretty good for the Jets so far. But yeah Thomas has been very average since that 2007 year not living up to his contract at all.

But yeah Thomas has been very average since that 2007 year not living up to his contract at all. Ravens have been a good judge of who on defense is worth keeping, and who is benefitting from the attention given other guys like Lewis, Ngata and Reed. I wouldn't go near any of their defensive free agents with a ten foot pole.

Problem is Thomas isn't in position to be making such complaints. Especially not publicly as he did. So, he's being punished now by BB during a time in the schedule where its most convenient.

Yes, because making an example of him is a great way to get him to play better than he has the past 2 years.

That makes more sense. And I didn't realize that Thomas will have pocketed $24M at the end of this season from the Patriots.

Adalius has just become one of my favorite players!
