Dan Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Skins are punting. Chiefs block it (or so it appeared). Ball, on the block, bounces more forward than back. The Skin guy picks it up and runs in for the TD. Refs call it back and say illegal touching by the skins because the ball didn't pass the LOS. Cheifs ball at the 50. Why didn't the block count as a Chief touching it first? What am I missing? I don't get it.
eSJayDee Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 A block doesn't count as a touch WRT possession. Unless a Chief touched the ball beyond the LOS, it's a deadball once the Skins touch it.
