That guy's totalitarian aspirations are getting more bizarre by the day. I heard that Merriman may be on the trade block. That, IMO, is a smart move but Smith's becoming too drunk with power. I'd be for it. They might be able to slip Whitner to CB, or at the very least Hart would provide some valuable depth on a team that's going down faster than Linda Lovelace. Perhaps this player was going to have a $$$ contract clause kick in. I've seen improbable cuts occur because of that. I know zero about SD.
