John Adams
Glad you agree with me in that the BMI calculator is imperfect. And you are right, we do have the best doctors. We have the best medicines. We have the best hospitals. Just to bad not everyone have the best insurance coverage or at least adequate insurance coverage. God willing Americans will take better care of themselves so that they won't need good insurance coverage. As imperfect as they are, the huge majority of Americans who qualify as obese in a BMI calculator are not ripped musclebound athletes, but are in fact fat lazy !@#$s. BMI serves its purpose in letting doctors show a fat person that they are fat using some objective measure.

Life insurance just goes by height and weight which is a pain when your dealing with someone who is just big from lifting weights or working out. Instead of saying "You have a BMI of 30", saying "You weigh 300 pounds, 120 of which is straight-up, 99 44/100% pure lard."

It's an efficient, not always correct, beauracratic measure to calculate risks and save costs. Of course, the retards don't understand logic, they only placate to the cries of personal stories, that don't offer any hopes of solving actual problems but just play on the emotions of sympathetic, nonthinking people. Which is exactly the gameplan of the W.H and Congress.
