vegas55 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Don't let the defense off the hook. They were pretty bad as well. Cleveland ran the ball with ease, no turnovers, no sacks. Cleveland QB was horrible, but there were a number of dropped passes which bailed our D out (thanks Royal) When will a Bills D back ever jump a route?? The lowlight was after Parish fumbled punt. Browns had a 3rd & 9 - everybody in the universe knew a run was coming and still the Browns were able to run for first down, allowing them to run the clock down. How bad is it when you know a run is coming and still allow a big gain - after getting gouged all day in running game You also know a coach has completely lost his team when coming off the disaster in Miami they supposedly are "playing" for Jauron's job and have 9 motion penalties due, according to the players themselves, "a lack of focus" That's DJ, a players coach, treating his players "like men" and having them spit right in his face. Time to bring a disciplinarian in, and officially end the party. Its called accountability
Dr. Fong Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Yeah if only the defense hadn't given up a whole 6 points things would have been different.
The Big Cat Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Yeah if only the defense hadn't given up a whole 3 points things would have been different. Special teams gave up the other 3.
ThreeBillsDrive Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Yeah if only the defense hadn't given up a whole 6 points things would have been different. If only the Bills defense hadn't been shredded for 38 points by a Miami team with no wide-receiver threats and a rookie QB starting his first game....
Thoner7 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Yea, the 10ish 3rd down drops helped this D look a lot better than they played. Either way whats it matter. if our D holds them to 6 we still lose.
BillsFan74 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 I hate that bend but don't break undersized crap defense we have....it feels like a decade since we had a great defense....oh wait it was.
apuszczalowski Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 yeah, lets blame a D thats playing 1/2 of its backups, and a couple of backups Backups. The D has been good enough to win all year, its not a top 5 defence, but its not losing them games. Just like I said multiple times last year, if it wasn't for the gross ineptitude of the offence that can't score even if the defence left the field, they would have been a playoff time. This defence held Miami in check until late in the game when they had routinely been dragged back onto the field cause the offence couldn't get anything done.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 I hate that bend but don't break undersized crap defense we have....it feels like a decade since we had a great defense....oh wait it was. I used to think the 2004 defense we had was vastly overrated. That would be a godsend compared to this rag tag garbage group
Doc Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 The Jets allowed 31 points (the same as the Bills' defense last weekend) tonight, and they're totally healthy.
