Beerball Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 From todays D&C Is running back Willis McGahee ready to play a key role? Yes. His left knee, the most talked about joint in the NFL, has held up well and the Bills have not babied him. The most talked about joint in the NFL is the one Ricky is smoking! Otherwise good article. He mentions Sobieski as a sleeper who will be difficult to cut. I haven't noticed him in the games. Has he stood out in practice?
Rico Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Nothing wrong with that, Depends how you define a "key role". I don't see Willis ready to start over TH, but if he's scoring TDs in the red zone for us, I'd say that would be pretty key.
millbank Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 For Bills to succeed this season it will be important that Willis play a key role , just as Travis got injured odds are he will again during the season if Willis can step in and the offense still function well, it will be a huge factor. The issue isnt if he will replace Travis but will Wilis compliment Travis and the two work together....

Has he stood out in practice? 8739[/snapback] Generally, it is a good thing when you don't see an OL. It means he's engaged in blocking and not looking for the guy who just ran by him.
