Big Turk Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 What an embarrassment...your owner and the guy who signs your paychecks is being honored at halftime with a ring ceremony for being inducted into the hall of fame and they are forced to cancel it because of the putrid play of the team... How much worse can they get...

How much worse can they get... It shows that the gutlessness of this team comes right from the owner. He knew he'd get booed and he did not have the guts to face it. He is a joke and should be forced by the NFL for failing to field an actual NFL team. Players get suspended all the time for conduct detrimental to the league. Ralphs mismanagement of this team is surely detrimental to the league, The Bills are a joke.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 If the Brown family in Cinn never got suspended, RW is no where close to how things were there. New Orleans was terrible for a long time as was Indy and NE It shows that the gutlessness of this team comes right from the owner. He knew he'd get booed and he did not have the guts to face it. Or, it's possible that they cancelled the ceremony as a statement to the team that their play was SO awful, Wilson wouldn't take the field.
The Senator Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Wow - IMHO, not a 'gutless move by the owner at all - guy knows damned well his franchise is a mess and - again, just JMO, declining to be 'honored' was quite a statement. Dick will be fired tonite (only the 2nd time RW has fired a coach in mid-season, I believe). (BTW, collective dick-heads - RW's oldest daughter lost a long battle with cancer just a couple months ago, so it's not like the guy has had anything else on his 90-year-old mind for quite a while )

The Senator Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 amen Yeah sure - RW is 90 and in the twilight of his absolutely stellar life, but lost his oldest daughter to cancer 3 months ago, so I'm sure all he thinks about these days is the Buffalo Bills.
BuffaloWings Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 They probably canceled it so Ralph wouldn't get booed horrifically during the ceremony.

First Joe Collier, then Kay Stephenson, then Hank Bullough
BuffOrange Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 According to WGR they denied that it was ever scheduled What a joke of a franchise.
Kipers Hair Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Any of the players comment about this? Each and every man on the roster and employed by the Bills should be embarrassed and ashamed that on the day their owner was recieving his HOF ring, they laid an egg. Who is the leader in the locker room? We have a rudderless ship with no heart. As much as I think Ralph deserves this, I feel sorry for him....
billsfreak Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 According to WGR they denied that it was ever scheduled What a joke of a franchise. Just like they wouldn't comment for months whether Jauron got extended or not. They think the fans are freaking stupid. If you don't have the balls to go on the field and face the fans that you have crapped on and stuck with a pathetic team and organization, you should be forced to sell your team. He created this mess, and he will never fix it, not that important to him.
RayFinkle Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 If there is one thing Ralph loves, it is Ralph. I think the fact that he couldn't have his ceremony today in the Stadium he refuses to sell the naming rights to will not sit well with him.
