But, they lowered their standards to "fat ugly 45 year old smoker at last call" when they gave it to Gore, so this probably shouldn't surprise me as much as it does. Nice to see him recognized on the world stage even though many Americans would applaud his failure. And THAT is pathetic. Other Americans have won this great prize. Most of them actually did something to deserve it other than getting themselves elected. Such Norwegian "phoney baloney"is only taken seriously by the liberals -- Chris Matthews must be having another one of those Obama tingles running up his leg.
