realtruelove Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 they just fall down and flop around on the ground. How long do you think before we call the favorite play in the playbook, the 2 yard out pattern to the mermaid tight end?
JoeFerguson Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I think Nelson showed some promising as a YACing tight end.
realtruelove Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 I think Nelson showed some promising as a YACing tight end. If I see them call that 2 yard out pattern to the sidelines to the TE I think I will YAK.
Kelso_Helmet Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 If I see them call that 2 yard out pattern to the sidelines to the TE I think I will YAK. metzelaars was the king of all mermaids. still one of my all time faves, though...
Whites Bay Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 metzelaars was the king of all mermaids. still one of my all time faves, though... Yes, but Metzelaars was about 8' 11" tall. He'd make a first down simply by falling forward. It was like watching a redwood being felled without the environmental consequences.
Pilsner Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Yes, but Metzelaars was about 8' 11" tall. He'd make a first down simply by falling forward. It was like watching a redwood being felled without the environmental consequences. All Pete Metzelaars had to do was simply grin at the defense a certain way and they would be smart enough to let him have the first down. He was that tough. Maybe even Chuck Norris's equal. perhaps. it's debatable. but close.
5 Wide Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I wish our Tight Ends would stop catching so many balls. Maybe.... you know... feature the world class athletes flanking Edwards on each side......
Black-Eyed Dog Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Metzalaars was an outlet, not the de facto first option. He was used very well. Also, I believe metzalaars = brick layer.
Big Turk Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 they just fall down and flop around on the ground. How long do you think before we call the favorite play in the playbook, the 2 yard out pattern to the mermaid tight end? Nelson is going to be a stud... However, the question I have to ask isn't "Do they look like Mermaids?" The question I am asking is "Why is the 4th string TE being targeted twice as many times as Terrell Owens and Lee Evans combined?"
realtruelove Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 This mermaid thread has got some legs....
