BillsZubaz
Pink's Hot Dogs in Los Angeles is awesome. Lots of selections too. Chilli dog is the bomb. I have heard about that place... Anything with Chili and dog has to be a good thing. Add cheese and that will really clean you out..

Live&DieBillsFootball
Old timers will remember (spelled phonetically) Wordinski's and Skelenguski You can still buy Wardinski's in WNY. Shelley's are long gone though. I always buy Sahlen's. One time this summer I bought Wardinski's when the place I was at was out of Sahlen's. They were good but not as good as Sahlen's IMO. oregonbbfan
Thanks, didn't know Wardinski still existed. Had Ridlinski on line send me 10# of Sahlens, Teds chili sauce and a jar of Webers. Loved it at first but you can only eat so many dogs.

billsfan_34
This is off, but who makes the best hot dog? I would have to say teds...Nothing like a good sahlens. And their hot sauce is killer. Love the onion rings too.
Robert Paulson
Buffalos best was & still is FREYS Frey's Bologna rocks - never had their hot dogs Sahlens and Wardys are 1 and 1a to me-- never had a Zweigle or if i did it did not stand out you must have the natural casing to make it a good dog- it has to pop! their is a butcher up here in WI called Haen's meat that has a good natural casing dog saves me the the hassle of bringing back 5 lbs from buffalo every trip + the buffalo dogs lose their flavor after sitting in the freezer for a few months- the last couple of dogs aren't that good I've bought from www.buffalofoods.com also but with shipping and handling you get up cliose to $10/lb- might as well buy a good steak for that price hhmmmm might be a good night for some dogs! Malazan
This thread makes me miss WNY. Thankfully there's also those buffalofood commercials on Sabre's games to make it worse.
ExiledInIllinois
Chicago style or Maxwell Street style (hot dog or sausage with grilled onions and mustard). Now, if they could use Weber's mustard... It would make a Maxwell Street x10 better. Nothin' better... All other is slop.
Watching since 1964
Nathan's Famous are all beef I think. Very good dog. Frey's are good also and yes, as someone mentioned their bologna is good. Prefer Zweigles all beef bologna though. Tops charges $5.99 lb. which IMO is a lot for bologna.
MattyT
Being from Roch I'm obligated to say Zweigle's pop open, but Hebrew National makes a damn good dog too. They're actually pretty different so I can enjoy either depending on what I'm craving that day.
PromoTheRobot
Zweigel's are awesome. I prefer the white hots. But Sahlen's makes the best true hot dog. Zweigel's are more of a "wurst" than a hot dog. Wardynski's are very good too. FYI: Ted's grills Sahlen's dogs. PTR
Watching since 1964
Speaking of Hebrew National, their salami is outstanding. Different from normal salami.
Mickey
Gotta go with Ted's. The lump charcoal they use is what does the job. I live in Syracuse where Hoffman's is king and everyone loves Heids in Liverpool but to me, that stuff is lame compared to Ted's. Love those shirts too, the black ones, any way to get one without being an employee?
The Tomcat
Johnny's or AJ's Texas Hots in the Jamestown area hands down. If you haven't had em, you don't know what u are missing. Just had some yesterday!!
The Poojer
see i am the opposite....never been a ted's fan, love heids....could just be the experience of it...a white hot or 2, chocolate milk(byrne dairy) and a dill pickle.....mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmm, my parents who are native buffalonians, love teds, and don't like heids Gotta go with Ted's. Cynical
Old timers will remember (spelled phonetically) Wordinski's and Skelenguski Old timers may also remember Malecki's. IIRC, Ted's used Malecki dogs until Malecki's went out of business.
