BLZFAN4LIFE Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Has anyone heard from Maybin? Is he injured? So many of you were convinced that he was the next Jason Taylor or Dwight Freeney. Just wondering when we can expect to hear the 11th overall pick's name mentioned during a game.

He's an evil genius...he'll get a pass from many all season long because he missed camp. we won't be sure he sucks until next year
Fewell733 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 he played well today. almost blocked a punt too.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 the few times i actually noticed him was when he was being dominated...
apuszczalowski Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Game #3 of his rookie season, after he missed most of the preseason, and we are already complaining cause he isn't Jason Taylor or Dwight Freeney yet? And he isn't tearing up the league? The defence deserves no blame for this game, they kept Buffalo in the game into the 4th..............
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I remember one play he did a little side step to the left, a little side step to the right...the left tackle for the Saints had him pushed back to the edge of the 219.

filthymcnasty08 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Game 3 Rookie season No camp Lets hammer those that truly deserve it
Doc Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Yeah, and what a horrible defensive performance by the team. I should learn to stay away from the board after losses.
IHFO Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Game 3Rookie season No camp Lets hammer those that truly deserve it like? kelsey? a true TSW whippin boy Fave who's playing well....hmmm Edwards
BuffaloBill Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Game 3Rookie season No camp Lets hammer those that truly deserve it Amen the offense owns 99% of this loss the return teams get the other 1%.
Conch Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Kelsay and Denney were both very good today. Maybin was nowhere. I'd sit him a few and let Ellis get some time.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Amen the offense owns 99% of this loss the return teams get the other 1%. And that changes the fact that the player taken 11th overall is a complete no show?

Game 3Rookie season No camp Lets hammer those that truly deserve it Absolutely the defense gets no blame from me. However Maybin's lack of...anything does raise a legit question. Maybin has been more ineffective than I could ever have dreamed. Meanwhile, last season's 3rd round pick, Chris Ellis has yet to suit up for a game even though he showed improvement throughout preseason. Doesn't Ellis deserve a chance to play? And isn't it the obligation of the organization to evaluate him under regular season conditions, especially when the person in front of him is not producing? Surely they now know what they have with Maybin right now, regardless of how he turns out in the future. But unless Ellis gets to play in a regular season game this year, how can they really evaluate his value on the roster?
GOBILLS78 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 And that changes the fact that the player taken 11th overall is a complete no show? But that's par for the course, apparently. The No. 11 overall pick in 2008 was a complete no-show for the first few games last year, too.
sharper802 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 No QB pressures but was on the field quite a bit. I think he actually dropped in coverage a few plays. I saw him lined up outside Schobel on at least one occassion. He was basically a non-factor but is not hurting the D either as he learns.
Justice Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Michael Oher, anyone??? Selecting Oher made too much sense for our circle jerks, I guess.
Simon Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 So many of you were convinced that he was the next Jason Taylor or Dwight Freeney. I'd love to see some links to these claims. Or are you the only one making them?
