It really sums the guy's philosophy up. He keeps talking about how we tried to keep it close the whole game, that on 4th and 1 with 7 minutes left he punted because we had fought to keep it close, and couldn't risk going down three scores . . . he plays to keep it close. That's how he thinks. He never, never plays to win. Rare occurrences like the fake FG are the exceptions that prove the rule.

He's gotta go. He's got a loser mentality, and it has permeated the entire squad -- especially Edwards. If you don't plan to win, you won't win.

gotta love teh typical responses. It's all Jauron's fault. Forget that he designed a game plan the held an offense averaging 46.5 points to 10 until the $th. It soley Jauron's fault that TO didn't try hard enough to find for the ball on a potential game tying drive. It is Jauron's fault Butler was injured. it is Jauron's fault that Trent missed a wide open TO. It's all Jauron's fault. Just like it was Mularkey's fault Losman sucked and just like it was Gilbride's fault the offense couldn't score. :censored:

He coachs not to lose and loses more than he wins. You would think a "Yale graduate?" would figure this out in 8 years but obviously hasent. He must be the dumbest person to ever graduate from Yale

and we are just realizing this after 3 straight 7-9 seasons?

NO DOUBT!!!

What I want to know is.....

WHO WAS THE COMPLETE MORON THAT PREMATURELY EXTENDED DICK?!?!?!?!

When Jauron gave up on 4th and one, so did the offense and defense. The game was over when the coach gave up......

He personally took the heart out of the team......

Yeah, we will continue to lose as long as he remains as head coach......

no guts no glory...unaware of when to go for it...the defense was constantly under pressure and they needed a dang break.

Told you so. Jauron Ball.

It's JauronBall. One word.

I've been saying this ever since the Bills signed him. He plays to win in the last two minutes. If he manages that, he considers that success. OTHER teams, on the other hand, play to win in the first two minutes. They're called "playoff teams".

Jauron's philosophy is perfect for taking a bad team and making it mediocre: it guarantees that you'll accidentally back in to some wins you otherwise wouldn't get, but lose some you should win. Bad teams coached by Jauron overachieve; good teams underachieve. It's a guaranteed 7-9 coaching philosophy.

I've been reading your drivel for three years and I finally agree with one of your statements.

So enlighten us to how much patience we should have? This team isn't young. There are young players on the team, some are starting, but the majority of players have 3 years of experience.

When does Edwards, Evans, Jackson, Whitner, Schobel, Parrish, Kelsey, Stroud, Ellison, McGee, and Owens learn how to take control of a close game at home in the 4th quarter and win the game, instead of crumbling in a mess of missed assignments, penalties, turnovers, and lousy play calls?

When do we expect Dick Jauron's squad to win these games, while at the same time we're watching rookie HCs with rookie QBs win games on the road within our own division?

Maybe next year?

I wouldn't give Dick credit, that's Fewell, who runs the defense, But the decision NOT go for it 4th and 1 was his.

This sums up the last 3+ years perfectly.

And Detriot...and Chicago... Jauron's schmucktacular coaching philosophy is so blisteringly obvious that you only needed to watch a half-dozen of his Bears games to discover how fundamentally flawed it was.

It might be a good teaching philosophy...it has never been a good winning philosophy.

Jauron gave his usual mediocre performance, but this one is on Edwards, Van Pelt and the O-Line. If they had been able to put together ANYTHING, this could have been a win.

DJ = France.

Stand there and get run over time and time again. Then never try to fix it.

This reminds me: why are all the roads to Paris lined with trees?...

So the German soldiers can march in the shade.

Everyone always thrashes on the French. And yes they have folded their tent a lot in the past. But if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have our independence from the British. :censored:

C.Biscuit, I know you're a smart guy, I've read your posts for years and had many conversations on here with you. However I just don't get your staunch support of DJ.

The 4th and 1 call was ATROCIOUS. Plain and simple. It was the wrong call. There's not another coach in the league who would NOT go for it there. His response in the press conference is proof that this guy is a loser. He coaches SCARED. He coaches NOT TO LOSE rather than to win. Injuries have NOTHING to do with not going for it on that 4th down. That was his decision. And he failed.

But while that was the biggest flub in the game, DJ made several others during the course of the game that showed once again how poor of a game manager he is. The fact that the Bills, armed with 3 Time Outs allowed the Saints to run it down to the 2 minute warning before they punted (first half) was laughable. Then, when it took DJ 20 seconds to call a time out on that final (disasterous) drive of the first half ... ridiculous.

Dick is a nice guy. He's a classy guy. But he is a TERRIBLE coach. He simply does not have the balls to win. And that mentality filters down to the team. Examples? Today. The Pats game this year. The Cleveland game. The Dallas game. The Jets game. This team finds ways to LOSE games they should win because they get TIGHT when the game is on the line because their coach is coaching SCARED.

That's not to say had the Bills gone for it on 4th and 1 they would have won -- chances are they wouldn't have. But you just HAVE to go for it there. You're down 2 scores with under 8 minutes left in the game and you're facing the BEST offense in the league, knowing your defense has shut them down for 3 and a half quarters and is gassed.

I respect you CB, but you need to open your eyes about Jauron. He needed to be fired in the off season. And the fact that he wasn't is laughable. This team will never field a winning record with Dick at the helm. It just won't.
