/dev/null Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Anyone else watch Pawn Stars on the History Channel? Interesting show.
Jim in Anchorage Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Yeah. That's got to be a neat place to work.
RayFinkle Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I almost posted about this show a couple of weeks ago. Very entertaining show in my opinion. Great concept.
loyal2dagame Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 really interesting, plus the show includes history lessons each week.
Beerball Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 They get some amazing stuff each week...sure, it's set up for the show, but regardless... Chumley rules!
/dev/null Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 They get some amazing stuff each week...sure, it's set up for the show, but regardless... Chumley rules! Have you seen the Yellowbook commercial with the guys from Pawn Stars? I caught just the end of it. Involved the Pawn Stars guys getting what looked like the end of a morning star (metal ball with spikes). They're like, "Now we've got to test it".....'Hey Chumlee!"
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I find it a neat show too! I always liked "Antique Roadshow" on PBS... "Pawn Stars" is kinda like that with an edgy twist: "I need the money now"... In some case probably: "I need the money now or Vinny and Vito break my fingers." Interesting thing that the son (of the old man) said that I just caught recently... That the bulk of consumer credit up to around the 1950's was done through pawn shops... I guess Bank AmeriCard and the other credit cards really changed that.
