NobesBLO13 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Interesting how many of the ESPN analysts picked the Patriots over Atlanta, only two are going with Atlanta. Given ESPN's tendency for hopping on and off bandwagons this is the opposite of what I would have thought. http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks

NobesBLO13 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 link? http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks My bad sorry. It's edited up top as well
BuffaloBaumer Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 until NE loses two in a row, I would not bet against them either.........................It's been YEARS
ColdBlueNorth Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Atlanta can take them, but you can bet Belicheat has been all over his boys for dropping the Jets game. I think it will be really close.
Dan Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I'm ready to jump off the Pats* bandwagon this week, both in my pick 'em pool and on my fantasy team (yes I have a FF team for the first time ever, but my boss called and told me to do it.. I swear). Am I just acting on emotion and my deep desire to see the Pats* crash and burn? Or is it actually possible the Pats* will lose 2 in a row? (perhaps the wrong forum to ask this question)
BuffaloBill Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I think Atlanta can take them. I think Atlanta will take them.
Flbillsfan#1 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 The Pats* were picked to win the game by all three people on NFL Networks AFC Playbook show. I would love to see the Falcons win this game, & I think they will.
cmjoyce113 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Why wouldn't ESPN pick the Pats*? Kraft is a big part of the network now and how many old Pats* are on that network? Not even worth listening to at this point.
BuffOrange Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I'm ready to jump off the Pats* bandwagon this week, both in my pick 'em pool and on my fantasy team (yes I have a FF team for the first time ever, but my boss called and told me to do it.. (perhaps the wrong forum to ask this question) Bill Simmons today actually wrote the most convincing case I've seen that they're on the decline. Maybe I'm just like a beaten wife or something but I won't believe it until I see it. Everyone said they were done in September of '06 when they barely beat us opening day and then got smacked around by Denver on nat'l tv with a bunch of journeymen nobody WR's... And 4 months later they had a 21-3 lead in the AFC championship game.
/dev/null Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 ESPN's coverage of the Patriots* is as objective and unbiased as MSNBC's coverage of Obama
Clippers of Nfl Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I think Atlanta can take them. off the topic, but nice picture dib!
Clippers of Nfl Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I think Atlanta will take them. i hope they will take them!
CarolinaBillsFan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I read today that Welker and Moss may not play!
BuffaloBlood Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Im surprised that two of them are taking the Bills.
Whites Bay Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I personally couldn't give a rat's hairy exit chute what any of the announcers on ESPN has to say about anything, unless it's something like "The meteorite is expected to impact Upstate New York in 30 minutes, so hurry up and make a play for the hot wife across the street while you still have a pulse". And I'd make sure I Tivo'd it so that I'd have an excuse in case the meteorite missed, because that would be MY luck. That having been said, let's not deal with what those chowderheads have to say, for chrissakes. Like they KNOW something? They're sitting behind that desk with no pants on. This is a fan board. Let me, as a fan, tell you something - I'm praying to whatever god I can rent that the Pats* schit the bed at Foxboro against the Falcons. Because if they do, in the words of Ross Perot, you're going to hear a "giant sucking sound" as that narcissistic house of cards crawls up its own back door and deposits a suppository with its own teeth. "F" the Pats*. I'm the Falcons' biggest fan this weekend. New England is going to represent the next living definition of "Self-Doubt" if that limp-wristed-nancy-boy franchise loses. Oh, blessed happy day. "Barrytown" - Steely Dan
BfloBillsFan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 two picks for the Bills! That takes some ballz!! NE hasn't impressed so far this year. Their Running game is mediocre and most of Brady's yards were against the Bills soft coverage. I think Atlanta has some serious weapons (Gonzalez, White, Turner) on offense that can take it to the Pats and if the Falcons learned anything from the Jets on defense last weekend, can possibly win with relative ease
The Dean Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 off the topic, but nice picture dib! That is Sora Aoi. A very nice Japanese AV Idol. Do a Google Image search on her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sora_Aoi Of course, it will be different soon, as dib changes his avatar frequently.
SouthGeorgiaBillsFan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Suits me just fine. I love watching ESPN analysts make themselves look unenlightened.
