wind & rain please

The Saints have fared poorly in recent years in adverse conditions, losing three games at Chicago in December or January and wilting in the rain at Tampa Bay last Nov. 30. Drew Brees threw three interceptions in New Orleans’ 23-20 loss.

Just keep in mind that Edwards has had his own issues during inclement weather ... although if it gets TOO bad, the Bills might be better-equipped to handle a run-heavy gameplan.

I had this songs lyrics running through my head now....

Like The Weather

The color of the sky as far as I can see is coal grey.

Lift my head from the pillow and then fall again. With a shiver

in my bones just thinking about the weather. A quiver in my lips

as if I might cry. Well by the force of will my lungs are filled

and so I breathe. Lately it seems this big bed is where I never

leave. Shiver in my bones just thinking about the weather.

Quiver in my voice as I cry, "What a cold and rainy day. Where on

earth is the sun hid away." I hear the sound of a noon bell chime.

Now I'm far behind. You've put in 'bout half a day while here I

lie with a shiver in my bones just thinking about the weather. A

quiver in my lip as if I might cry, "What a cold and rainy day.

Where on earth is the sun hid away?"

Do I need someone here to scold me or do I need someone

who'll grab and pull me out of this four poster dull torpor

pulling downward. For it is such a long time since my better

days. I say my prayers nightly this will pass away.

The color of the sky is grey as I can see through the

blinds. Lift my head from the pillow and then fall again with a

shiver in my bones just thinking about the weather. A quiver in

my voice as I cry, "What a cold and rainy day. Where on earth is

the sun hid away?" I shiver, quiver, and try to wake.

Actually, I was thinking Seattle and San Fran from last season, not the dual Acts of God from 2007.

Add: It's funny -- you can take the play-by-play of that Seattle game, and tell almost exactly when it stopped drizzling. As soon as the sun appeared, Edwards started connecting. 10-for-19 in the first half, 9-for-11 in the second.

And they are from WNY - Jamestown or fredonia or whatever.

I remember going to a 10K Maniac's show in Buff and the bass player wrote "Conlan" and his number on the back of his bass. Conlan sat right behind me in the balcony. He was injured at the time and had a leg brace on.

We have a slight edge so far the season in rushing (thanks to TE) but the featured RB's for the two teams are close with Mike Bell averaging 114 yards a game, Fred Jackson averaging 110 yards per game.

The Bills stop the run better and our rushing attack is less reliant on our passing attack so I tend to agree with you.

Wind and Rain can only help the Bills out there. They have a quality running back in Jackson and Edwards is the king of a safe passing game (If its really bad in terms of wind and rain he can't really air it out too often) so while the Saints are able to pass it well even in the short game they don't run the ball as well as they use to (Bush is more of a receiver who runs 12-15 times a game and their other runners are at best slightly above average).

I honestly wish we had Lynch for this game he would be perfect for bad conditions and considering we are 1 injury away from only having 1 running back also makes me want Lynch back asap.

Of course the Saints couldn't be visiting in late Nov. or Dec. when the weather could really affect them. Nope, they get a game against us nice and early in the year....

Funny thing about that ... back in 1989, the Saints showed up in Buffalo in December. Ask Steve Tasker about that game, one the Bills figured they had won as soon as it started to snow.

22-19 New Orleans. Curse you, John Fourcade.
