Beerball Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 We saw time of possession mean absolutely nothing in the Indy/miami game and 3 teams rushed for over 200 (230 I believe) yards and lost. I doubt that there was ever a week with 3 teams losing and rushing for that many yards, but I'll leave that up to the stat geeks. What does it mean? Not a whole heck of a lot...just interesting. If you want to relate this to the Bills...can't be one dimensional against the Saints and just try to grind it out keeping their O off the field.
Phlegm Alley Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 It kinda disproves the theory that you have to run and stop the run in the NFL to win. INDY did neither and they won. TEN lost despite having 3 plays of 50+ yards by Chris Johnson. DAL lost because Romo threw 2 INTs that were returned for TDs. There are a lot of ways to win in the NFL.
