My CO detector kept going off as well. I replaced the battery and it stopped. I think the low battery causes it to behave erratically.

I better go check my wife's battery.

Sometimes when I can't sleep I go for a drive in the garage with the doors closed. 10 minutes and I'm out like a light.

I use the "NighHawk" ones that plug into the wall outlet... No battery... If there is no power, how are you gonna have build of CO? The furnace is off then. Unless it comes from the gargage or fireplace or other places... Then you are a lame ass for not being diligent.
