bdelma Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Nice piece from the Buffalo News. Grown up in Elma, makes me kinda proud. You surprise me that there is another sport that does well besides #1Wrestling. SEVEN TD'S BY ONE PLAYER-OUTSTANDING EFFORT. ANDY GO CHIEFS!
Hawk Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Yea..saw the hi lites on the news..great job..Think they tied and broke some local and state records. Thought O.P. would do better though..Good luck in Syracuse guys!!!
Guest Guest Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 As a proud Iroquois alum I say GO CHIEFS!
TravelingDad48 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 We attended the game last night. Our kids attend Eastridge. Was a fantastic season for them. They had not been to this level game before. Hats off to Andy Wolfee, he was amazing. Also have to give a LOT of credit to Eastridge. There starting QB, Kenny Rogers, played with a broken wrist. Still rushed for over a 100 and passed for over a 100 (and they really only passsed in the 3rd quater). Game got close in the 3rd but then turnovers killed Eastridge (fumble for a TD, long run back on a pick and then a punt return for a TD). Still scoring 49 was something but giving up 66 .. ouch. Was a great season and hope Iroquois does well !! Good luck !
bdelma Posted November 14, 2004 Author Posted November 14, 2004 Iroquois has always been a wrestling school, now the town has a football team. Can't believe how we have a team to be proud of. I know they made trips to the stadium before. But this story is fantastic for us diehards.
zevo Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 all Iroquois alum, when did ya'll graduate? I graduated in 2000!
TravelingDad48 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Here are the game stats ... Eastridge lead in just about everything but the final score ... which is all that matters http://www.sectionv.org/football/StatePage/AREGION4.HTM Was a exciting game though ...
