Tbone Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Is anyone else having problems with their Fox HD channel? Its only on fox, and it seems to happen only during NFL games. Its really annoying. I called and complained twice, they told me others were having the problem but have thus far refused to escalate the issue.
RayFinkle Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I made that comment on this forum before. It is only the HD Fox sports feeds that I have issues with. Commercials run fine, sports on other stations run fine. For whatever reason, Fox NFL game feeds are a little choppy.
Ledward Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 What problems are you having? Last week, one of the channels during the 1PM game was real choppy, like the game was a stop action animation. I don't remember if it was Fox or even what game I was watching and I was at the game yesterday (Woot!) so I don't know what to tell you.
DonInBuffalo Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I have Time Warner, but was watching the OTA feed yesterday and it was fine. I recorded the game and will watch to see if I notice any difference.
NobesBLO13 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I've noticed some crappiness with MLB games on Fox HD as well
NobesBLO13 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Does Fox have the Super Bowl this year? that would suck
Tbone Posted September 21, 2009 Author Posted September 21, 2009 I have been told that the problem has been experienced by many people in the area, and that it may also extend to other sports. A coworker of mine told me that Time Warner will not "escalate" (whatever that means) the issue even though they have had several calls about it. I would suggest that if your having issues you should call them as well. (716-558-TWC1)
cmjoyce113 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I have Directv and its the same... Fox's HD for sports blows... CBS is head and shoulders above them at this point.
Wraith Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 The problem is not with Time Warner. It's with Fox Sports. It has been like this all summer with baseball.
todd Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Yep, I've talked to at least 4 people with similar problems regarding the FOX feed. It sucks.

trolls_r_us Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I was wondering if it was my new TV, but its only on FOX... Bouncy screen all through the game... it makes you sick after a while
bladiebla Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I'm using Gamepass HD and that gets it's feeds from the stations CBC/FOX/DirectTV and FOX looks horrible there as well, it's almost as if they aren't using HD camera's or something. Commercials are fine, it's just the on the field image that isn't good.
eSJayDee Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I have TW in Albany. Broadcast did "freeze" a couple of times. I found this happens occasionally w/ the movie channels. Go to the Std Def & all is well. Come back a few minutes/seconds later & it's fixed. Another reason I've got it on my list to switch to satellite.
WellDressed Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Well, five years ago, fox tried to give us 'hd' which was just upconverted 480p, that was crap.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 i too had this problem... oh well verizon is running fios in my neighborhood as i am typing this... i should have that problem taken care of shortly
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I also live in NC and have the same problem. Wilmington here! I live in NC and have the same problem!
