Just Jack Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Contracts can always be worked out with enough litigation. I'm sure there are some loopholes somewhere. Exactly. An apartment complex I used to live at told me there was no way they'd let me get out of my lease five months early, even though I'd live there over three years, was a good renter compared to some there, and they were going through rehabbing the empty apartments. I went through my lease line by line and found nine (yes, 9!) instances that they were in violation of, wrote up a letter, sent it registered mail that I was leaving since they were in violation of the lease, and if they had any problem with that, they were to respond back, also by registered mail, otherwise I was moving out by the end of the next month. I never heard from them again.
