Bills4154 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Booker Moore, age 50, has apparently died of a heart attack while watching NFL football on tv. He played on the 1987 Penn Stagte championship team and was drafted by the Bills. He played 5 years with the Bills as a running back and during that time was diagnosed with Gullain barre syndrome, a neurological disorder. RIP Booker!
BuffaloBill Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Wow - I remember when the Bills drafted him. may he RIP.
Steve O Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Sorry to hear this. He was actually a first round pick of the Bills but that disease limited his effectiveness. RIP
Steve O Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 not that it matters but he was drafted in 81, think he played 2-3 years.

firemedic Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 That sucks, I partied with him during the alumni weekend in 2003, he was a sergeant with the Detriot? (IFRC) police dept. Class act, RIP Booker.
Bullpen Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 RIP Booker. Â Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Â As a young fan, I always like Booker, because I thought he had a cool name.
bbb Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Football players really do die so much younger. It's unreal. RIP Booker
Red Squirrel Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I'm vaguely remembering a play when Booker's helmet fell off and he still lowered his noggin and crashed into somebody. He was a tough dude, and one wonders how he would have done as a player if not for the Guillain-Barre. Regardless, it is sad he is gone but also nice to hear he was well liked and respected in his second career.
