Got_Wood Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 If he wants to be back on this team, I think we could use him now. If we can't get Runyan, this has to be the best route for us. Thoughts?
krazy8321 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 He was released because he regressed as a lineman, and had great difficulty keeping up with the No-huddle. DO NOT BRING LANGSTON BACK
Captain Caveman Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 If Butler's going to be out for a while, I think we have to make a run at Runyan ASAP.
Fingon Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Will we be able to run sweeps and screens with Langston in there?
Orton's Arm Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Will we be able to run sweeps and screens with Langston in there? No.
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 If he wants to be back on this team, I think we could use him now. If we can't get Runyan, this has to be the best route for us. Thoughts? Hey, I am worried, as well, but isn't the general feeling we're getting from the players and coaches that Walker was, if not a cancer on the team, a whinny distraction?
pBills Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I have a feeling that they will stay with what they have. Runyan would be a nice pick up for right now.
Fan in Chicago Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 We might need one of them if only for depth depending on how long Butler is going to be out.
billsfreak Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 He was released because he regressed as a lineman, and had great difficulty keeping up with the No-huddle. DO NOT BRING LANGSTON BACK I am not sure he has regressed all that much as a lineman, rather I think the Bills overpaid big time when they signed him. I don't think it would be too bad of an idea to bring him back with his knowledge of the offense, his experience and not to mention he will come alot cheaper now. The hit on the salary cap hit from releasing him originally will be more than they actually pay him this time if they were to resign him.
dave mcbride Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 If Butler goes on IR, they can't stay with what they have. They have to pick up someone.
Got_Wood Posted September 21, 2009 Author Posted September 21, 2009 Haven't heard any news yet about who we might be looking to bring in. Anyone see anything out there?
