John from Riverside Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 That injury to Butler did not look good...... Stupar can fill for Shoemann
TheChimp Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Did it really look to you that Scott's play was a drop-off at ALL from Butler's? Not to me.
jkx2 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Did it really look to you that Scott's play was a drop-off at ALL from Butler's? Not to me. We're still going to need someone and he's the best out there.
sharper802 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Need to sign one of them this week.... Bell looked good and that holding penalty was BS, but can't go the rest of the season this thin at tackle.
John from Riverside Posted September 21, 2009 Author Posted September 21, 2009 To me that is not really the point......we now have to Tackles less then when we went OUT of training camp with.....and Runyon is a talent and a road grater.... Scott did well....but now we are getting thin
silvermike Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I wonder if we'd bring back Langston Walker if it turns out Butler is out for a few weeks.
Bills Fan888 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 If its short term I think they can manage but if its a season ender, which it could very well be, then we should definitely sign him immediately.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Did it really look to you that Scott's play was a drop-off at ALL from Butler's? Not to me. Agreed; Scott looked really good to me. He was blocking a beast too, if I recall (Gaines Adams?), and held his own. I'm fine starting Scott, with Chambers as the back-up (assuming Butler's injury isn't long-term).

The sack he gave up was on Trent holding the ball too long....

Big Turk Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Did it really look to you that Scott's play was a drop-off at ALL from Butler's? Not to me. No, not really...he did allow the one sack, but that was after blocking his man for over 5 seconds...
MRW Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Scott did a good job, but John from Hemet is right about the depth. If Butler's gonna be out any more than a week or so the team will really need to shore that up.
WellDressed Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 As Gwen Gutherie once sang, 'Ain't nothin' goin' on but the rent.' We don't pay rent, even for players. If we did, we'd have a different MLB.

Steely Dan Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 That injury to Butler did not look good...... Stupar can fill for Shoemann I wonder if we'd bring back Langston Walker if it turns out Butler is out for a few weeks. That's my guess. If anyone is signed off the street it will be Walker. Unless there were hard feelings when he left. JMO
seq004 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I just hope Nelson is OK. Me thinks Nelson should be our starting TE anyway.
