Cugalabanza Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Any idea? I heard his name a couple times. He made a key run stop at the line of scrimmage in the first half.
gobillsinytown Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Any idea? I didn't see the game but the ESPN gamecast stats show he had one tackle. It's a start I guess.......
Huuuge Bills Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 He played off and on the whole way through. Had a couple nice run stuffs, but no real QB pressures from what I saw.
LynchMob23 Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Any idea? He was in a ton toward the end Mike. The best way to tell when he's in is he takes a four point stance about a yard or so out of the tackle and yard or so off the ball.
Simon Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I don't think as much in the second half until late but he was on the field several times in the first half.
GripnRip Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 He's number 58 and lines up on the left side of our line when the other team has the ball...this should help you find him.
sharper802 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Any idea? He was the guy that TB's RT touched once each play and pushed him off the ball. He has no second move. He can't run around the RT's fast enough to get to the QB. They know he won't go inside and as soon as they touch him he is pushed backwards 1-2 yards.
Conch Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I swa him rush 10 to 15 yards to the right past the qb and never get near the play. Needs more than a speed move.
John Cocktosten Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 He's young but he has a lot to learn when it comes to pass rush technique. He is nothing but a speed rusher at this point and it aint follin anybody. I can't believe he hasnt thrown in an inside move yet. All upfield and once he gets stoned by the OT, he has no counter. I'd like to see the Bills move him around a bit too. Line him up as an LB and walk him up or use him on stunts. I like his intensity though.
Lofton80 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 They should try him on a stunt. He is not getting off the OT's blocks when he is lined up head up.
The Dean Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I swa him rush 10 to 15 yards to the right past the qb and never get near the play. Needs more than a speed move. I saw the same thing. Blew by the tackle, but was way too deep to make any impact.
KOKBILLS Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 They should try him on a stunt. He is not getting off the OT's blocks when he is lined up head up. He'll be fine in the 3-4 next year...
TheChimp Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 All I want for Christmas is for Maybin to learn a decent spin move. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
Doc Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Orakpo, who started at SLB for the Skins, didn't have a tackle or sack. Just sayin'.
Tcali Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I saw the same thing. Blew by the tackle, but was way too deep to make any impact. that seems to be a pattern with him so far this season..i wish they would move him around to utilize his speed better. If he comes straight at the tackle he is crushed. If he tries going around him he is practically on Abbot Rd and effectively out of the play.
colin Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 our ends did a lot of wide rushing today because we blitzed inside. i still think we are figuring out our D.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Schobel and Maybin's combined stats: 1 Solo Tackle 2 Assisted Tackles 0 sacks Don't remember any pressures from them either. These are our two best pass rushers. Doesn't bode well for next week vs New Orleans.
