DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 tom if i jump off a building because i think i can fly, lets say 200 ft high... what will happen?
DC Tom Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 tom if i jump off a building because i think i can fly, lets say 200 ft high... what will happen? You tell me...what will happen?
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 i will die, that is a consequence....
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 u keep saying prove it, i just did...
Taro T Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 PROVE it. You're mean. But should he earn a Darwin Award, I think that gets him in line with scientific principles of ~60 years ago. So we'd be killing at least 2 birds w/ 1 stone, so to speak. u keep saying prove it, i just did... What, you jumped and you died? How the frig are you still posting? No matrix indeed.
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 i guess consequences dont exist lol, u people are ridiculous... nobody has offered rationality for believing in zeus...
DC Tom Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 religion is a delusion! Give us a break. You can't even prove reality is real...if you can't even do that, how are you going to prove anything is delusional?
DC Tom Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 u keep saying prove it, i just did... That's not proof, that's a statement without any objective evidence behind it. Provide the objective evidence.
YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 That's not proof, that's a statement without any objective evidence behind it. Provide the objective evidence. I admire his stamina, but I think we are only feeding his psychosis. On another page someone questioned if he was a Scientologist. Even if he is, which I doubt, his training in logic sucks. May he went to one of those self-help Tony Robbins type classes... I am not sure, but there is definitely a cog missing here. We can't even get him to agree or understand a definition of something without him changing subjects. His twisting of other persons beliefs into what he thinks they are, rather than asking for their understanding or belief is ignorant. Yes, the church's and synagogues often have specific dogma that some people disagree with, but he doesn't ask those questions and yet he can't fully describe his own belief except to insult you and say it is that it is not what he thinks your belief is. What a colossal waste of a mind and high level of energy. Keep up the good work with him, maybe he will learn something down the road from it, though unlikely now.

Fortunately, it doesn't take much energy to say "prove it" over and over. I think he can see where I'm leading him (surprisingly), and is desperately trying to avoid being dragged into the light, so to speak.
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 so belief is zeus is rational? ummmm no....
YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 so belief is zeus is rational? ummmm no.... It could be depending on the form, the century in which the belief is held and the definition of the deity. No more rational than the crap you have been throwing out their claiming that your sense of logic is rational.

YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I am not, but in a given age where belief in Zeus is the norm, rationality as a human (which is usually defined in coping with societal norms and getting along) could be rational. ?Once again, you seem to be confusing rationality with being able to prove something concretely. Big difference... I suggest you go luck up the full definition of the word and take Psych 101 before your answer back.
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 belief in zeus was never rational...
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 belief in zeus was never rational... Believing that man has all the answers is never rational, too.
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 nobody said that. we are looking for evidence for god. again where is ur evidence? what is god?
