wtf?

we actually extended a starting cb?

when is the last time that happened?

(i know this is his 2nd extension)

Ironically, probably not since we extended him the first time.

GO BILLS!!!

So, no 1st RD DB next April, right?

i know.....shocking. this team may add a player through the draft as an upgrade rather than adding them as a replacement. could this be the tipping point for the bills? back on the right track?

That is indeed great news--there are very few guys we're losing next year that we care about. The only two I can think of now are TO (who will in all likelihood be gone) and Reed (who should come back relatively cheap if we want him). Youboty may be restricted somehow as he's in his 4th year of his deal now and McCargo is in the last year of his as well, I believe, but hasn't really turned any heads in his years here. If our young guys progress as we'd like to see them do, if we can get Reed back and go out and sign one or two additional FA's and have a good 2010 draft (meaning 2-3 impact players from year 1), this team may finally be ready to make some real noise next year, after hopefully an overachieving season this year.....

He can join the ranks of Talley, Hansen, McKeller, Metz, and other very solid players for the Bills for a long time with the team.

It was a contract extension that was critical for the future success of Buffalo’s secondary. Set to become a free agent at season’s end, Terrence McGee would have commanded a boatload of interest on the open market. Fortunately the veteran cornerback wanted to re-sign with the Bills all along. After a month of negotiations an agreement was reached as McGee signed a multi-year extension with the club on Friday

Nice signing. Maybe now people can spare us the mindless drivel about the Bills drafting a CB in round 1 of the 2010 draft.

Nice. Sounds like we got a nice deal out of it

anyone have any terms of the contract?

I'll bet they're a lot more reasonable than Clements', and probably on the order of Greer's.

HOPEFULLY this means that we won't have to use an early, if any, pick on a CB in the draft. I think it was pretty much the consensus around here that if McGee walked we were likely going CB in the 1st again.
