Wooderson Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Goldberg Variations - J.S. Bach (Slaughterhouse Five & Silence of the Lambs) Good fuggin' list Senator! I love Carmina Burana, such a sweet tune. Barry Lyndon's music is wonderful and John Williams really sets the mood for Schindler's List.
The Senator Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I'm looking for your favorite movie songs. They don't have to be made for the film or even be the first time used in a movie but for whatever reason you remember the movie for it. Whenever I hear Sam Cooke's 'Wonderful World', it's virtually impossible not to think of this scene from Animal House...
shrader Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 uh, yeah....i know. ( but i like the beatles' song better anyway. ) You never can tell with people around here.
linksfiend Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 How 'bout ?I pity you if you don't know what movie it's from.
Steely Dan Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 How 'bout ?I pity you if you don't know what movie it's from. One of Chevy Chase's better movies before he took a hard fall. Great song too!

Made me think of Good Morning Vietnam. And on a totally unrelated not (maybe to the whole thread), just because I saw this the other day:
linksfiend Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Refresh my memory here. Is the song in all 4 movies? Well it wasn't in Christmas Vacation. But Mele Kalikimaka was!!
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Shoot me now... But, did anyone mention The Sound of Music? Man... Every song is just awesome! Not a song... But... The best part in the whole movie is when Sister Margaretta and Sister Berthe stick it to those Austrian mouthbreather Nazis: Sister Margaretta: Reverend Mother, I have sinned. Sister Berthe: I, too, Reverend Mother. Mother Abbess: What is this sin, my children? [the nuns look at each other, then reveal from under their robes the distributor and coil they have removed from the Germans' cars] You go Sisters!
IDBillzFan Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Violent Femmes, Blister in the Sun, from "Grosse Pointe Blank." Can not hear that song with thinking of that kickass flick.

Kiwi Bills fan Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 A great song is the theme from On Golden Pond. Great movie. Every time I get a little homesick for the Adirondacks, I play this movie. (I know it doesn't take place there, but it sure reminds me of the north woods.) Main theme
