PushthePile Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I'm looking for your favorite movie songs. They don't have to be made for the film or even be the first time used in a movie but for whatever reason you remember the movie for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBemzu1Fchk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzM4D2_uOP0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmzaBvKzrZI Color of Money Midnight Cowboy Resevoir Dogs Apocalypse Now Trainspotting
PushthePile Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Almost Famous Good call! That's the first scene I think of with that movie.

shrader Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I'm not sure if it qualifies as a "song" but is there anything more iconic than 2001?
BillsPride12 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Lol I agree with you on the Reservoir Dogs scene, that one always hits home with me everytime I hear it on the radio or somewhere because I'll never forget the first time I saw that movie/scene. It was me and a few of my buddies at my friend's apartment and we just got done having a nice bong session and put that movie on while we were stoned out of our minds and once that scene came on I still remember it to this day, my one friend gets up goes "!@#$ it, I'm too high for this Im going to bed" LOL might not sound too funny to you guys but its one of those personal memories for me And then we always used to watch Dazed and Confused when we we would get high, and the opening montage with Aerosmith's sweet emotions always comes back to me everytime I hear that song. Those were some great times that I'll always remember and miss
dib Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I'm not sure if it qualifies as a "song" but is there anything more iconic than 2001? Ah, Thus Sprach Zarathustra The docking scene with the Blue Danube playing in the background was briliant
Bill from NYC Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 West Side Story: Somewhere, Tonight GREAT choice!!! Did you ever hear the Streisand version? Are you old too Joe? If so, you might remember from Lovers and Other Strangers.
Wooderson Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I'm not sure if it qualifies as a "song" but is there anything more iconic than 2001? Agreed, great movie with amazing music. I love his interaction of the classical music in the film. Stanley Kubrick is an inspiration to us all with his involvement of music, light, and the usage of different lenses.
dib Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 OK, not a movie, but the theme from Band of Brothers?
Chef Jim Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 The music in Blackhawk Down it great. Hans Zimmer does some great stuff.
