Lori
Mangini and Tannenbaum also fined. Just on ESPN; I'll grab a link when I see one. Add, via Adam Schefter's Twitter feed: "NFL doled out $125,000 worth of fines on Favre injury -- $75k to Jets, $25k to Mike Tannebaum, $25k to Eric Mangini." Edited the title to reflect this. Lori
Huh? What team/player are you talking about? Tannenbaum was the Jets GM, Mangini the coach when the Jets intentionally kept Favre off the injury report last year even though they knew he had a bad shoulder torn biceps tendon. Kudos to the league for not giving the Mangenius a pass because he's no longer there. FWIW, CIN put WR Peter Warrick in a game after declaring him out, several years ago. The fine was 10K back then. I've posted about Warrick in times past. He hit stride his 3rd year - too bad for him, that leg injury. He would have been something big. Same for Ki-Jana Carter. Burns me when folks call him a bust... Lori
oh, I figured that statute of limitations had expired. If he was no longer in the league, maybe they would have let it slide ... but since he is, I don't think they dared set that precedent.

I guarantee you that if the league took a close look at their records there would be a lot of crap going on with that in Pets* land. They've cheated other ways, why not this one. I've heard that Belichicken is loathe to release that information.

I've heard that Belichicken is loathe to release that information. So true, so true. I live in NE* and even all the sports media people joke about Belicheat* and injury reports. They know that Belicheat* takes liberties on it almost every week and no one in the NFL calls them out on it. Goodell reeks. I don't care if he is from Jamestown. Goodell reeks. He might as well have grown up in Boston.
