TigerJ Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 92% 5 miles 370 seconds My mouse was being a little balky or I think it would have gone a lot faster.
Jukester Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 96%, 2 miles - Missouri with a clean map was a bit tough, but since i live here i got pretty close.
TigerJ Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 I took it a second time. A little faster, higher percentage but my average miles off rose a bit. The initial state is crucial. Some states, and not just those around the perimeter are much easier to place than others. Oklahoma was easier to spot than Iowa as an initial state. With Oklahoma you can kind of picture the proper shape of Texas as a guideline for where to drop Oklahoma. The references are not nearly as clear for Iowa.

jarthur31 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 92% with 12 miles. I started with Rhode Island and Nevada a bit later. This was a bit harder when you don't have other borders to work with.
habes1280 Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I got 100% correct. 115840[/snapback] Of course you did.

aussiew Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 90% - 31 miles. Iowa was tough for me. And I think a lot of you are stretching the truth.
BRH Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 96%, 4 miles, 254 seconds. Damn they made me put Kansas on a clean map and I missed by 92 miles to the west. I also missed Idaho on a clean map by about 75 miles to the east. Played it again and this time got Kentucky in the right place to start, damn it's like playing pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. 100%, 0 miles, 201 seconds.
