Coach Tuesday Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 If Poz is gonna be out for awhile, I would love to see them try Nick Harris at MLB. We know he has the speed, range and instincts - the guy loves to run sideline to sideline and hit. In terms of size, here is the comparison per bb.com: Harris: 6-2 232 Poz: 6-1 238 Buggs: 5-10 223 Size is not the issue. It makes a lot of sense to me, thoughts?

A lot to learn for a rookie. It's more than just a size question. PTR
RayFinkle Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Personally, I'd be calling Derrick Brooks today. He isn't the player he used to be, but he plays smart and can fill in for a month or so.
GOBILLS78 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 All in all, how did Buggs play in Poz's absence?
Haze Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Mitchell played MLB in Kansas City. Why not move him there and start Harris at OLB? I would not be opposed to signing a certain 11-time Pro Bowl LBer either.

He may not be ready to play for some reason.
Bad Lieutenant Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 All in all, how did Buggs play in Poz's absence? He missed 1 tackle right off the bat but he didn't really play that much because the Bills basically kept at least 5 DB's on the field for the rest of the game.
bizell Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 well, for one thing nic harris is an OLB and has probably not played much mike in his short career @ linebacker.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 well, for one thing nic harris is an OLB and has probably not played much mike in his short career @ linebacker. He's played just as many games at MLB as he has at OLB - none.
Kipers Hair Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Or move Kawika to the middle and get Harris out there. Exactamundo Fonzi!!!

They need to get Harris on the field period! This guy is a hitter!!!
K-9 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 The Bears were pursuing him to replace Urlacher and then backed off today. He may not be ready to play for some reason. You'd think if there was ANY chance Lovie Smith thought Brooks still had it, the Bears would sign him. They lost TWO starting LBs against GB. What does that say when an evaluator like Lovie Smith, a disciple of the coaching tree that brought the defense Brooks starred in, with two HUGE holes to fill at the starting LB positions, DOESN'T sign D Brooks? Now, maybe D Brooks feels it's a seller's market in Chicago and is demanding bigger money but I find it interesting that he hasn't signed with the Bears regardless. GO BILLS!!!
BillsInMaine Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I would love to see Harris out on the field. Hes a playmaker...big fan of him! I agree Mitchell to MLB and Harris at OLB would be best...
bowery4 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I like Harris, he seems to be a hawk (nice fumble recovery to show for his game last night). Move Mitchell inside and try it. Buggs looks okay tho too. I think it will be more apparent next week what they should do. Too bad, Poz was having a decent game and Willams (who looked good the 1st half) did better when he was in there IMO.
tecmobowlbills Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 What has everyone heard on the injury? The arm is broken right? Hopefully he is not out for the year again.
WildBills Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 supposedly only one of the bones is broke. not both like last time.
Armchair GM Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Or move Kawika to the middle and get Harris out there. And leave Ellison, who couldn't cover a bar tab, on the field...you're all delusional!
Lofton80 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Harris is a good player. Sort of light for the middle of the field. Mitchell misses a lot of tackles. Let's hope Poz is ok.
Dan Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Put a cast on Poz's arm with a steel plate in it. Let him go rip people's heads off!
