3rd and One Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 A nice little story to those who think they have good or bad luck. A nice way to put things in perspective. An old man and his son worked on a small farm, with only one horse to pull the plow. One day, the horse ran away. “How terrible,” sympathized the neighbors. “What bad luck.” “Who knows whether it is good luck or bad luck,” the farmer replied. A week later, the horse returned from the mountains, leading five wild mares into the barn. “What wonderful luck!” said the neighbors. “Good luck? Bad luck? Who knows?” answered the old man. The next day, the son, trying to tame one of the horses, fell and broke his leg. “How terrible. What bad luck!” “Bad luck? Good luck?” The army came to all the farms to take young men for war, but the farmer’s son was of no use to them, so he was spared. “Good? Bad?” Think about this story next time something "bad" happens to you.
KD in CA Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Somehow I don't see this parable applying to the Bills.
3rd and One Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Hence why its in OTW there chief.

The clock runs out...bad luck...nope...wait til next week.

KD in CA Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Hence why its in OTW there chief. Uh...it was a joke. Real quick on the uptake there.
WWVaBeach Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Uh...it was a joke. Real quick on the uptake there. Where's that sarcasm button again?
DaGimp Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 So does this mean Poz is going or not going to war?
KD in CA Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Where's that sarcasm button again? I figured after that game, the sarcasm button was assumed for the rest of the week.

My cousin who lives in Amherst sent me an email today, he described last night's game in what I can honestly say is almost the most dead-on-balls accurate phrase I've heard. He said "It was death by a thousand little cuts." I had no reply for other than "spot on Michael." So does this mean Poz is going or not going to war? No, he's blue collar, he'll be taking his lunch pail to the steel mill wait we don't have those anymore... He'll be taking his lunch pail to the tool and die shop.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Does that mean that one extra loss this year will put us in a draft position next year to get the greatest QB in NFL history?
3rd and One Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 I figured after that game, the sarcasm button was assumed for the rest of the week. My bad KD, you still caught me when I was still a little hot lol
KD in CA Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 My bad KD, you still caught me when I was still a little hot lol Quite understandable! This was the first thread I saw after I watched the game and thought 'there's no good/bad for the Bills....just BAD!'
3rd and One Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 bump? Some people may need this after yesterday. Maybe this was the best thing that ever happened to the Bills?
WellDressed Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 If you've got no luck, then what do you have??
