Jauron "coached" a great game and he had all his players playing hard. I don't know if its Fewell or Jauron or both but the playcalling on defense in the second half was not good. The way to beat the Pats is to have constant pressure on him and not let up. Look at the Giants.

Posted
Idiot. Jauron coached his ass off. But it's all the coaches fault. Bills fans have become retards.

Exactly. Please give the damn guy credit when he actually puts together a game like that on the road in prime time in a hostile stadium against the most successful franchise of the decade and the best 4th quarter QB in the game. Mcelvin needs to hang on to that ball at ALL costs.

WRONG. McKelvin needed to KNEEL.

i.e. COACHING

Posted
McKelvin needed to have it imparted to him, IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, that if he caught it in the end zone, he was to KNEEL. He was obviously not imparted this information. He was allowed to do whatever he wanted. So, if it is NOT Jauron who is lambasted by the owner, it should be Bobby April.

You let some supertalented idiot savant, who probably graduated with a Family Studies !@#$ing degree, make that kind of decision on his own, you, as a coach, need to be ousted, if not now, then as soon as you find someone who will never do that.

We are a laughing stock, it's official now. Someone needs to pay. It might as well be the corpse with the headset.

Couldn't agree more. The verdict is in. You can chalk up a game like this once in a blue moon as bad luck. This has happened too many times. As far as I'm concerned, the game was lost on the 2nd-to-last New England drive when the Bills basically told the Pats, "we'll let you score but hopefully take some time off the clock". Until Jauron and his pu$$y attitutde are gone, there will be more gut-wrenching losses like this.

As a registered Dick Hater™ I can safely say there's no way to pin this loss entirely on him. The only decision that turned out to burn them was putting in a green tackle in Bell in a major game like this. He alone cost us three or four drives with stupid penalties. And at the end of the game, he was a turnstile.

As much as this pains me to say this, Dick actually planned a good game. Not his fault the D and special teams managed to f#ck it up for Trent. Trent left the field with an 11 point lead...when he came back they were down 1. WTF?!?

Excuses, nothing but excuses. In their fourth year coaches win these games or they are looking for new jobs.

When the Bills went 2-14 in back to back seasons in the 80s, my brother and I had a saying, 'the Bills pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory." This saying applies over and over again to Jauron's Bills.

20 of Jauron's 21 wins in Buffalo have come against losing teams. This guy has to start beating good teams or he has to go.

It's time for this guy's teams to stop making mistakes and start making plays, and it's time he's held accountable for those failures.

And I'm sick of people making excuses for this career loser.

Agreed. Jauron was awesome and FAR superior to BB. The Bills players lost that game. Dumb fumbles. Dumb penalties. Dropped passes. But comon, that stuff is going to come around. It's the first game with a new system, a retooled roster, a new OC, and playing Tom Brady and the Patriots, whom I thought everyone considered the best team in the league. Oh and by the way, Tom Brady looked very Tom Brady-ish. No other QB even gives his team a chance to win that. The Bills game plan was better, play calling was better, and honestly, their athleticism was better. Some people are choking some serious DJ crow right now and honestly its pathetic that those people cannot even acknowledge his superb performance tonight. And that goes for the entire coaching staff.

It also is NOT the Bills coaching staff's fault that some people are too stupid to recognize superb coaching. Of course I have been saying these things all off season.

Bell: 3 early penalities

McKelvin: 1 worst case scanario

Otherwise I give the coaching staff an A+. A great game lost to one stupid decision by one player when the game was won. Why didnt he kneel? Why? It was absolutely ridiculous .. just ... i dunno i am speechless.

Even suggesting that Jauron ought to be fired for this loss is sheer stupidity, why even open up a conversation like this? Did the OP watch the game?.

The OP ought to be chastised for just buffing his post count with useless posts.

Football can be a very simple game and you are grasping to make this out to something more than it was. Go down when you get into traffic and we have effectively cleared the 2 minute mark and all they had to do then was get a first down. No excuses were made sorry.

Doesn't it bother you that the the Pats called basically the same play for both of their late TDs?

Jauron has a 'Cover 2 fits all situations' mentality, and that strategy killed the Bills at the end of the game. A cover-3 puts a safety in the middle of the field, which double-covers the TE on both of those plays. Considering that the Bills had to do everything to protect the endzone, maybe that would have been a better call than the standard Jauron cover-2.

Posted
I'm not blaming him for the loss. NcKelvin was obviously responsible for that when he fumbled the ball. I'm just trying to say that whoever is calling the plays should no not to let Brady get comfortable.

That is kind of retarded to say. Brady gets comfortable. We saw that 18 times two years ago, moron. Not every coach in the league is a bumble-headed idiot, and after tonight, you cannot even come close to saying that about DJ. They held the Pats ungodly offense completely in check and had the game won. What the !@#$ more do you want out of any defense playing against that team? Comon, that was shut down, NY Giants SB caliber defense, plain and simple. Will it continue? It is hard to say, but at least we can look at it and say that it doesn't get any tougher than that.

I don't want to pin tonight all on him, either. But, yeah, making the decision to put Bell in there burned the team pretty badly.

That said, when this team has games like this time and time and time and time again... There comes a point where you've gotta realize that the symptoms you're having are indications of a bigger disease.

That Bills fans are too stupid to recognize anything that is happening during a football game? That is the realization that I came to, oh about when I started reading idiot posts on the forum suggesting that some how the Bills should win with less talent than other teams thanks to coaching.

I agree. One thing about Dick is in three years (and four offseasons), he's yet to instill a killer instinct into his players. There doesn't seem to be that belief that "YES, WE CAN WIN AND WE CAN BEAT ANYONE, ANYWHERE". Hence, you get these collapses that happen. I don't think the team believed they could win this game...it's like they were thinking "holy sh--, we're winning?!? Okay, okay, calm down...what do we do, what do we do...?"

The D looked like deer in headlights as Brady dissected them on the last two TD drives. He scored the same TD TWICE!

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with some fans? It's always blame the coach. It was Gilbride fault with the offense sucked yet he was an OC for a Super Bowl winner. It was Mularkey's fault Losman sucked yet he made Matt Ryan rookie of the year and Kordell Stewart a MVP candidate.

I really am frustrated and apologize for name calling. But if you blame Jauron for this loser, you are a flat out moron.

I'm sorry, but a good coach maintains a killer instinct. Not a, let's lay low because we have the clock on our side. We have seen this too many times under Moron. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So far, true to form, we have not seen a different result.

And you are Mrs. Jauron. We got it already. Enough.

No doubt, and yet it seems as if those points weren't drilled into the players' heads at that time in the game. What's it take for the coach to pull the team together and say 'we need one first down to end this. PROTECT THE BALL!. We have the hands team in there, remember that and down the ball in the end zone. No heroics on the kickoff.'

And the Pats beating the Bills with the same exact route twice within 30 seconds? That's coincidence too I guess.

Jauron is a career loser. Teams coached by career losers lose these types of games.
