The activist group ACORN fired the longtime director of its Louisiana chapter Monday, citing a lack of accountability in a region recovering from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. A statement by ACORN chief executive officer Bertha Lewis doesn't specify why she fired former state director Beth Butler. An ACORN spokesman declined to elaborate on Lewis' statement. Piece by piece, falling apart.
