Warren Zevon Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...=BUF&id=776 ouch
billsfaningeneseo Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 According to BuffaloRumblings, Langston Walker has been released....better hope Bell is as good as we all really hope he is.
2003 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...=BUF&id=776 ouch you beat me to it. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/ Looks like Demetrius Bell won't have to wait to prove himself.
SHOUTBOX MONSTER! Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Just saw it here as well. http://twitter.com/JasonLaCanfora/status/3847034314
Stevie Ray Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 So they get rid of Chambers, and now Walker? And Bell has been out with an injury the past few weeks? I dont get it!
Warren Zevon Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 So they get rid of Chambers, and now Walker? And Bell has been out with an injury the past few weeks? I dont get it! Exactly. This move has to be a precursor to something...
SteamRoller67 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Holy depleted offensive line. I'm all for turnover, fresh faces and youth in the NFL.....not 6 days from the season opening ass whooping though.
Omar Little Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 This has to mean Jon Runyan, doesn't it?
ShipUPride Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Whoa... while I agree that Walker sucks... cutting him this close to the season makes little sense... how about seeing if Bell can even handle the duties before annointing him. Unless this is all done prior to signing someone...
bills_red Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 So you don't like him at LT move him back to RT!!!!!!! Bulter didn't look that good to me at RT. You cut Walker and Chambers, ugh, Bills FO sucks.
Max997 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 so the Bills only have one returning starter from last year and he is playing a new position for the first time since college im not the biggest Walker fan but this doesnt make any sense...I am a fan of Butlers but he didnt look good at all to me at RT and Levitre doesnt look ready to me at LG...why not put Wood at LG and move Butler and Walker back to the positions they played last year this is going to be a disaster season....drafting Oher would look even better right now wouldnt it?
Ramius Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Gotta be a pre-cursor to another move. We'd have an open roster spot, and no way the team would carry only 7 OLs. Now lets all gather together and hope that we find this same report tomorrow, only with chris kelsay's name substituted in place of Walker.
Lori Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Wheeeeee, as the merry-go-round spins madly out of control. Well, at least this offseason hasn't been boring ...
LABills08 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 None of these moves make sense without a proper counter-move. This is to the point of embarrassment. The only reason this makes sense w/o another player being acquired is to save money. Neither Rhodes nor Walker were keeping anyone extremely special off the 53 man roster. And both Rhodes and Walker would at the very least provide some crucial veteran depth at extremely important positions. I would think that Walker would at least have pushed Butler for a job at RT. What happens if Bell gets injured? What happens if Jackson gets injured? Ugh. The Bills.
