TDO'Kearney Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 As mentioned previously: Henning, Pendry, Gillbride as OCOn Defense: Wade Phillips, Dick LeBeau I'll admit no one wanted Dick LeBeau to leave.
Malazan Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I'll admit no one wanted Dick LeBeau to leave. Maybe LeBeau wants a head coaching job I think it's important for the OC to be someone who supports the QB he has and not try to smash an offense on a guy who can't handle that particular offense. I think one of the reasons many QBs are successful is because they are defacto running the offense and the coordinator...coordinates.
manbeast Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 AVP, like Marv was, is a consensus builder. He gave advice and according to Jim Kelly was a great adviser, student of the game and recognizer of defenses. I am hoping for better play calling but it also will greatly depend upon Eric Studesville being able to advise on where running holes are found. I am a little nervous with no QB coach on the field. The plan is to have Ryan Fitzpatrick relay calls from AVP to Trent Edwards on field but this of course will need to change if Edwards is injured. I think with three relatively young QBs on the roster the Bills need a QB coach as well as an OC. Jim Kelly?????
