JPicc2114 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 What more do you have to do to make a team?? Catch 10 balls a game?? What are the coaches looking at??

Thurman#1 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 This just isn't a big deal. He's likely to be on the practice squad, though. And while any of the other teams could pick him up first, it's unlikely, for the same reasons that the Bills didn't consider him a crucial addition to the team this year.

You mean they dont consider Tight End to be a crucial adddition...
BuffalOhio Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I commented in another thread. After further thought, the only thing I think our coaches look at are 'measurables'. 40 time, height, that crap. Forget about heart, forget about football sense. Forget about 22 catches in 5 games, you retards! Some guys just know how to get open, and Stupar is one of those guys. Kind of helpful when you have a TE that can get open for a QB with a confidence problem. I thought this kid was a lock with the PS he had. I hope he slips through the cracks and makes the squad in spite of the idiot coaches.
Alaska Darin Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Perhaps the coaches based their evaluations on what they saw for the last 3 months instead of meaningless preseason games and production against what was largely a bunch of guys who'll never play in the NFL. But I'm all about the mob mentality so it's probably because they're really stupid and we're really smart.
Fingon Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Wasn't Stupar cut by another team before we picked him up?
Tcali Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 What more do you have to do to make a team?? Catch 10 balls a game?? What are the coaches looking at?? yeah its amazing--i guess all those athletic passcatching TEs we have just crowded him out...cough
Lofton80 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 YES, apparently the entire NFL is missing out on this talent. Our season does not hang in the balance of who is our 4th TE. Wasn't Stupar cut by another team before we picked him up?

cåblelady Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 His name reminds me of Jauron. No. No. No, Sweetie. It's Stupar.......not StuPID.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 If it makes anyone feel better, I've got the closest inside information possible that the Bills have informed Jonathan that they will sign him to the practice squad (as long as another team doesn't add him to their 53, of course).

This coaching staff has always focused on players who look good in practice rather than games. We haven't lost a game on a Friday since Jauron took over.
Bill from NYC Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 No. No. No, Sweetie. It's Stupar.......not StuPID. Actually, I was thinking along the lines of Stupor.

Yes. That makes me feel better. Thank you. I'll feel even better when he replaces one of our starting TEs.

BGIOP---what did Ralph and Mary serve for refreshments at the Detroit meeting. Nothings better than ham biscuits and mimosas... Glad to hear about Stupar -- he showed some promise when it didn't count but more than enough to warrant the PS. Not bad for part-time starter at UVa
