Some guys might interest the Bills like G Kynan Forney, Per the Rotoworld link; David Thomas-TE- Saints Sep. 5 - 6:12 pm et Saints acquired TE David Thomas from the Patriots in exchange for seventh-round draft pick in 2011. New England also acquired blocking TE Michael Matthews from the Giants for a late-rounder in 2011 and released Alex Smith. Thomas, 26, was banged up throughout his first two seasons, but has soft hands and can stretch the field. He's a very nice insurance policy behind starter Jeremy Shockey. ________________________________________________________________ Matt Schobel-TE- Eagles Sep. 5 - 6:18 pm et Eagles released TE Matt Schobel. It's a bad sign for Schobel considering how thin the Eagles are at tight end. The Eagles will almost certainly add another tight end to back up Brent Celek and Tony Curtis. Eagles also released TE Rob Myers, who's a practice squad candidate. _______________________________________________________________ Jeff Garcia-QB- Raiders Sep. 5 - 6:38 pm et Raiders released QB Jeff Garcia. Wow. The Raiders brought Garcia in to push JaMarcus Russell and be a high-quality backup. Now they've given up on that idea. We're pretty sure Garcia wasn't cut because the Raiders were so confident in Russell, so this could say something about Garcia's skills. Or more likely, it says something about the Raiders' brains. They'll go with Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye behind Russell. _______________________________________________________________ Kynan Forney-G- Chargers Sep. 5 - 7:11 pm et Chargers released G Kynan Forney. It's a surprise move because Forney was thought to have won the job a couple weeks ago. Now it looks like rookie Louis Vasquez will be the starter at right guard. ________________________________________________________________ James Hardy-WR- Bills Sep. 5 - 7:33 pm et Bills placed WR James Hardy (ACL on the Reserve/PUP list. This means Hardy can't practice with the team until after Week 6. The 2008 second-round pick will probably have to look to the 2010 season to try to justify that draft status.
